Training Log
Keeping a training log truly changes the way you experience your activities. I cannot stress enough how important it is: it helps you see your progress, stay motivated, and better understand your sensations day after day. It is also a useful document to share with your doctor if you are following a return‑to‑activity or fitness‑maintenance program.
Whether it’s on a computer (a simple spreadsheet is enough) or on paper, write down as much information as possible: duration, speed, cadence, heart rate, sensations, daily conditions… Anything that helps you know yourself better and follow your evolution.
Below is an example from my own file, to give you a simple idea of how I organize things.
